The AirTAC GFR20008F2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008F2WT is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. It removes water and particulate down to 5 um (the fine W grade, instead of the standard 40 um) and holds downstream pressure within a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range. The 08 port is 1/4 in with NPT thread, the bowl is polycarbonate with a differential-pressure drain, and the embedded square gauge is fitted with a psi scale. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning ahead of a machining centre's pneumatic valves and actuators: the 5 um element protects spools and seals from water and fine particulate while the regulator holds a steady set pressure for consistent clamping and tool-change action.
Feeding cylinders and diverters on a carton or pouch packaging line, where the filter-regulator keeps air clean and pressure stable so sealing jaws and pushers repeat their stroke the same way each cycle.
Conditioning the instrument-air feed to lab analysers and enclosed instrumentation, where the 5 um grade and a regulated, gauge-monitored pressure protect sensitive pneumatic components inside the enclosure.
Size and port step up together: 200 with 1/4 in NPT suits lighter duty lines, while 300/400/600 carry more flow at larger ports - match the step to your demand rather than upsizing blindly. This unit carries the 5 um W element; choose it where finer particulate and water carryover control matter, or the standard 40 um where it does not. Drain here is differential-pressure (automatic on pressure drop); automatic and manual drains are orderable alternatives. The fitted square gauge reads in psi; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. PT is the standard thread - G (BSPP) and NPT are order options, as is a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and demand, and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W in the code GFR20008F2WT selects the 5 um filter grade instead of the standard 40 um, for finer water and particulate removal. The 2 selects a square gauge with a psi scale; MPa or bar scales are available as options. The 1/4 in port here is NPT thread - PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options.
