The AirTAC GFR20008JC2W AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in PT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008JC2W is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body, sized for a 1/4 in PT port. It removes water and particulate from compressed air at 5 um (the fine, W-grade element) and holds your set downstream pressure anywhere in the 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range, with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The polycarbonate bowl uses differential-pressure drainage, and the fitted round gauge reads in psi so the setpoint can be checked at a glance. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with manual or automatic drainage, a 40 um or 5 um element, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, G or NPT threads, and bracket options. Published flow data appears as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the pneumatic clamps, tool-change cylinders and chip-clearing jets on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine valve spools from particulate carryover.
Conditioning the supply to the cylinders and vacuum generators on a packaging line's case erector and sealer, holding a steady set pressure so box folding and taping cycles stay consistent across a shift.
Regulating feed air for impact drivers, torque tools and air cylinders at a bench assembly station, with the psi gauge letting operators verify the setpoint that the tool manufacturer specifies.
Start with the port step: size 200 with a 1/4 in PT port is the entry size of the GFR range, so confirm it matches your supply line and expected air demand - larger sizes (300/400/600) carry larger ports and more flow. This unit is specified with the 5 um element (code W); choose it over the 40 um standard element when downstream equipment needs finer filtration, and note the finer element is the reason to pick this code. Drainage here is differential-pressure, which discharges automatically as the pressure differential builds - no manual draining routine. The round psi gauge is fitted; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are available on other codes. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. No mounting bracket is included with this code (J), and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than one rated figure, we deliberately quote no flow number here - send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet curve and sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Contact us with your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand, and we will confirm the datasheet curve and check the GFR200 size at 1/4 in PT is correctly sized for your application before you order.
The W in the model code selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, giving finer filtration for sensitive downstream equipment. The drain is differential-pressure, meaning condensate is discharged automatically as the differential builds, with no manual draining. If you would rather have manual (M) or fully automatic (A) drainage, or the 40 um element, those are available on adjacent GFR200 codes.
