The AirTAC GFR20008MLC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR20008MLC3WT is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body, removing water and particulate from compressed air while holding downstream pressure steady. This configuration carries a 1/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W), a manual drain on a polycarbonate bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, and a round external gauge scaled in bar. A mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans four sizes (200, 300, 400 and 600) with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, filter grades of 40 um standard or 5 um optional, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and gauge options in MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow for the series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding air to clamping fixtures and swing cylinders on a machining fixture, where the circuit needs clean, moisture-reduced air held at a steady, manually set pressure.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to the pick-and-place cylinders and product diverters on a carton packaging line, with the 5 um element helping protect downstream valve seats.
Conditioning shop air for lab analysers and test rigs that need particulate removed down to 5 um and a stable supply pressure set by hand at the gauge.
Within the GFR family the real choices are: size and port (200 through 600, 1/8 to 1 in) stepped against the air demand of your line; drain type (differential-pressure as standard, automatic, or manual as fitted here); filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um where finer filtration is required, as on this unit); gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar - this unit carries a round gauge scaled in bar); thread (PT is the standard, with G and NPT as catalogue options to order); and whether a mounting bracket is fitted. This unit is the low-pressure regulator type; its adjustment range is not published in the catalogue, so confirm it with us. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to check the curve against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
This unit is ordered with a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by hand, which suits positions that are checked regularly. The GFR series is also available with a differential-pressure drain (the standard) or an automatic drain, and the 5 um element fitted here can be specified as the standard 40 um grade when ordering.
