GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

The GFR20008MLJC1T is an AirTAC GFR200 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 1/4 in NPT port, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um filter element, and the low-pressure regulator type. A round pressure gauge scaled in MPa is fitted, and no mounting bracket is included (code J).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans four sizes (200, 300, 400 and 600) with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options for automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element (code W), gauge style and scale, and G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure Is Used

valve

Packaging machine clamp circuits

Feeding filtered, regulated low-pressure air to the clamping cylinders on a carton-sealing line, where the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated water from the bowl at shift start.

air

Spray booth atomizing air

Supplying clean, pressure-controlled air to spray guns in a small paint booth; the 40 um element keeps water and particles out of the finish while the regulator holds a steady low setting.

precision_manufacturing

Pick-and-place actuator supply

Regulating supply air to the gripper cylinders on an electronics assembly cell, with the fitted MPa gauge giving operators a local pressure reference at the machine.

Is the GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure the Right Unit?

The real choices in this family are the size and port step (200 with 1/4 in here; step up to 300, 400 or 600 for larger ports), the drain type (this unit is manual drain, so an operator opens the bowl drain periodically; automatic or differential-pressure drains suit unattended installations), the filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with code W for finer protection), the gauge (round or square, scaled in MPa, psi or bar), and the thread (PT is the standard; G and NPT are order options - this unit is NPT). Bracket inclusion is also a code option; J means no bracket.

Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR20008MLJC1T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow data as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm from the datasheet whether the GFR200 size at 1/4 in NPT suits your application.

The M in the code means the bowl is drained by hand: an operator opens the drain periodically to remove collected water. If the installation runs unattended, the same size is available with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain; tell us and we will quote the right code.
