The AirTAC GFR20008MLJF3T AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator 1/4 NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200 series combines water and particulate filtration with pressure regulation in a single compact body, so one 1/4 in connection does both jobs. This configuration, GFR20008MLJF3T, is the low-pressure regulator type with a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, an embedded square gauge scaled in bar, and no mounting bracket. It is intended for circuits where the working pressure is set below the normal range and must stay stable and clean.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as standard and G or NPT as order options, with drain, filter grade, gauge and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fixture clamps that must hold parts gently rather than at full line pressure get a clean, regulated supply: the 40 um element stops scale and pipe debris reaching the clamp cylinders, the manual-drain bowl is emptied at shift checks, and the low-pressure regulator holds the reduced set pressure while the square bar gauge gives the operator a direct reading.
Bench rigs and lab pneumatic circuits often run at reduced pressure from a shop-air drop. This 1/4 in NPT unit filters water and particulate out of the supply, lets the technician dial in and read the low working pressure on the bar gauge, and its compact GFR200 body fits a crowded bench without a bracket.
On a bottling line, guide and pusher cylinders work best at a moderate, steady pressure well below the compressor header. A filter regulator at each drop removes condensed water before it reaches the valves, the low-pressure type keeps the set point where the mechanics want it, and the manual drain is emptied during scheduled line cleaning.
Start with the port: this unit is 1/4 in NPT, so match it to your line size and check that the flow curve at your pressure covers the demand of the downstream cylinders or tools; we can confirm the curve data before you order. The manual drain means someone empties the bowl periodically - choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain code instead if the installation is unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for 5 um only where finer protection is required. The square gauge fitted here reads in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this code, with PT standard and G available. No bracket is included with the J code, so plan your mounting accordingly. Because flow is published as curves and the low-pressure type has its own characteristic, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR200 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure that could mislead your sizing. Send us your line pressure, port size and downstream air demand, and we will confirm the relevant datasheet curve and check the sizing with you before you order.
The M in the code GFR20008MLJF3T means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand: open the drain at your regular maintenance interval to remove collected condensate. If the unit will be mounted where nobody passes regularly, order the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain version of the same GFR200 configuration instead.
