GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The AirTAC GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

The GFR20008MLJNTK is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation combined in a single body. This 200-size unit is threaded 1/4 in NPT, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and is the low-pressure regulator type. It is specified with a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds the downstream circuit when upstream pressure is lost, no gauge fitted, and no mounting bracket.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options including automatic or manual or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element, gauge choices and G, NPT or PT threads. Flow is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4

GFR200G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
KReverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Bench pneumatic press supply

Feeds a small workshop press cylinder with filtered, regulated low-pressure air, with the check valve holding the clamping circuit if the shop supply drops.

factory

Packaging machine actuator loop

Conditions air for bagger and carton-sealer cylinders on a packaging line, removing water and pipe scale while holding a set working pressure.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor air-blow cleaning station

Supplies a belt-cleaning blow-off point on a conveyor line, filtering condensate and grit from the shop air and regulating it to the pressure the nozzle circuit needs.

Is the GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 the Right Unit?

Start with the port step: this unit is 1/4 in NPT in the 200 size; step up to 300, 400 or 600 if your line needs a larger port and more flow capacity. The manual drain here means an operator bleeds the bowl, which suits intermittently run stations; choose automatic drain where the unit runs unattended. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for 5 um where finer particulate removal matters. Gauge, thread (PT standard, G and NPT as order options) and bracket are all decodable choices across the family. Note this unit is the low-pressure regulator type and ships without a gauge or bracket. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than one rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR20008MLJNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing figures from the datasheet on request.

The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is bled by hand, which suits stations that are checked regularly. The K specifies a built-in reverse (check) valve, which keeps the regulated downstream circuit pressurised if the upstream supply is lost. If you prefer unattended condensate removal, the family also offers automatic and differential-pressure drain codes.
