The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 in PT, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit is threaded PT 1/4 in, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and drains condensate by differential pressure, so the bowl bleeds itself as flow passes through. The regulator is the standard type with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range, a round external gauge reading in psi is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl is rated to a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with a different drain type, a 5 um element (code W), a square embedded gauge, alternative gauge scales, G or NPT threads, or no bracket. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop to a small stamping or forming press, the GFR300-08 strips water and swarf from the shop air line and holds a steady regulated pressure so the press cylinder strokes consistently through the shift.
On a packaging or cartoning conveyor, this unit conditions the air feeding gripper and clamp cylinders, keeping condensate out of the valves while the round psi gauge lets operators verify set pressure at a glance.
Feeding an air spray gun or coating applicator, the 40 um element catches pipe scale and the regulator holds the atomising pressure the finish calls for, with the differential-pressure drain clearing collected water in flow.
Step up or down a size (200/300/400/600) to match the port and the air demand of the circuit; this 300 size with its 1/4 in PT port suits typical machine supply drops. Choose the drain to suit access: differential-pressure (this unit) drains itself in flow, automatic (code A) suits unattended duty, and manual (code M) needs periodic bleeding. If finer filtration is needed, order the 5 um element (code W) instead of the standard 40 um. The gauge can be round or square with MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit has a round psi gauge - and PT is standard with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your air demand and line pressure and we will confirm the datasheet figures and correct sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and check the sizing for your application before you order.
This unit's blank drain code is the differential-pressure type: condensate is bled from the bowl as air flows through, with no operator action in normal use. Code A (automatic) dumps collected condensate on its own, and code M (manual) is drained by hand - useful where flow is intermittent. All three are order options on the GFR300.
