The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4 PT 5 um Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 300 size with a 1/4 in PT port, a fine 5 um filter element (the W grade, tighter than the standard 40 um), a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, and a reverse (check) valve fitted. It is supplied without a mounting bracket (code J). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 to 600, with larger port sizes, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, MPa/psi/bar gauge scales, and G or NPT thread options available across the range. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-change and clamping circuits of a CNC cell, with the 5 um element protecting fine pilot valves from particulate and the psi gauge giving operators a direct setpoint readout.
Mounted ahead of the valve manifold on a cartoning or wrapping line, it filters condensed water from the shop air, holds a stable pressure for consistent cylinder action, and the check valve holds the setting if supply pressure dips.
Conditions the air feeding spray guns and coating applicators, where the 5 um grade and manual drain let the operator bleed accumulated condensate at shift start and verify regulated pressure at a glance.
Size and port step up as flow demand rises: 200, 300, 400 and 600, with this unit at 300 and a 1/4 in PT port. Choose the drain to suit maintenance access: manual (this unit, and it widens the regulation range to 0.05-0.9 MPa), automatic for hands-off condensate removal, or the default differential-pressure type. The filter grade is 5 um here (code W) against the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and instruments need finer air. The square gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT orderable as options; a bracket can be added if this no-bracket version needs panel fixing.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code means condensate is released by hand from the polycarbonate bowl instead of automatically. The trade-off is deliberate: the manual-drain version regulates from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), wider at the low end than the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions. Choose it where an operator is on site regularly; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain where the unit is unattended.
