The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4in PT, 5 um, psi is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit is threaded PT1/4 (1/4 in), is fitted with a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, and drains condensate by differential pressure. Downstream pressure is set within 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) and read on the fitted round gauge scaled in psi. The polycarbonate bowl is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). A mounting bracket is not included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge style and scale, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, regulated air at a set pressure feeds the clamp cylinders on a milling or drilling fixture, with the 5 um element protecting the clamping valve from fine particulate and the round psi gauge giving the operator a direct pressure readout.
Mounted at the drop of a robotic pick-and-place cell, this unit conditions the supply to the gripper circuit: water and particles are removed at 5 um and the gripper pressure is held steady at the set point shown on the psi gauge.
Installed ahead of the air cylinders and jet nozzles on a packaging or cartoning line, the GFR300-08 delivers clean, regulated air to the sealing and egress stations, with the differential-pressure drain carrying off collected condensate during the shift.
Start with the port and size step: the GFR300-08 gives a 1/4 in PT connection on the 300 body, and the next size up or down should be chosen against the air demand of the circuit. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. Then set the options that matter: drain type (differential-pressure as here, automatic, or manual - note the manual-drain version has a wider 0.05-0.9 MPa setting range), filter grade (40 um standard or 5 um as fitted here for finer protection), gauge style and scale (embedded square gauge standard, external round gauge optional, in MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order), and whether a mounting bracket is required. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulation range with this drain type is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM figure here. Ask us and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for the GFR300-08 against your air demand before you order.
The W code in GFR30008JC2W selects the 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard grade, for finer protection of downstream valves and cylinders. With no drain code, the unit uses the differential-pressure drain, which passes condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element builds up - no manual draining in normal operation. A manual-drain version is available if you prefer, and it widens the regulation setting range to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
