The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/4in PT 5um Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This configuration is the 300 size with a 1/4 in PT port, 5 um filtration (the finer W grade), a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. The standard regulator adjusts 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, plus options for drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), G or NPT thread and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for the solenoid valves and small actuators on a machining centre, with the 5 um element helping protect pilot components from water and fine particles.
Steady downstream pressure for stopper, pusher and clamp cylinders on a packaging conveyor, so stroke timing stays consistent through the shift.
A point-of-use filter regulator at a manual assembly station, keeping pistol-grip tools and air screwdrivers supplied with dry air at a set working pressure.
Within GFR300 the port is 1/4 in PT; G and NPT threads are order options if your pipework needs them. Drain choices are differential-pressure (default), automatic or manual - this unit is manual, so the bowl is emptied by hand as part of routine checks. Filtration here is the finer 5 um grade; the 40 um standard element suits general supply air where fine filtration is not required. The square gauge is fitted with a psi scale, and MPa or bar scales plus an external round gauge are available. No mounting bracket is included on this code (J). Flow for the 300 size is published as curves, not a single rated figure - send us your flow requirement and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated flow number we can quote. Tell us your required flow and application and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand during routine checks. The GFR300 is also available with a differential-pressure drain (the default) or an automatic drain (code A) if you prefer the bowl to discharge without operator attention.
