The AirTAC GFR300-08 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation in a single 300-size body. This configuration carries a 1/4 in NPT port, the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, an embedded square gauge reading in bar, and no mounting bracket. It does not include a reverse/check valve. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the service temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing); the regulated outlet is adjustable from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and each size can be ordered with a different drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, thread option and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a bench-mounted pneumatic press or clamp cylinder: the 5 um element keeps scoring particles out of the cylinder bore while the regulator holds a steady setting so forming and staking strokes stay repeatable shift after shift.
Supplying diverters, stoppers and pusher cylinders on a packaging conveyor: the differential-pressure drain sheds condensate carried in from the compressor room, and the bar gauge gives operators a visible setpoint to check during changeover.
Conditioning the air drop ahead of spray guns and air tools in a finishing booth: the fine 5 um grade reduces water and particulate carry-over into the paint line, and the single-body filter regulator saves panel space at the booth wall.
Step up or down the size ladder (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow path your line needs - the 300 size with a 1/4 in NPT port shown here suits compact actuator circuits and machine-level drops. Choose the drain to match maintenance reality: differential-pressure (this model) drains itself as air flows, automatic (code A) empties on a level signal, and manual (code M) needs an operator. This unit already carries the 5 um fine element (code W); the standard grade is 40 um if your circuit tolerates coarser filtration. The embedded square gauge reads in bar here; MPa, psi and an external round gauge are order options. Thread is NPT on this code - PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also a catalogue option - and bracketless (code J) mounting is chosen if you panel- or manifold-mount the body. Flow figures are published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Send us your application demand and we will confirm the datasheet curve and correct sizing for you on request before you order.
The W suffix on this code selects the fine 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um grade - the right choice where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air. The blank drain position selects the differential-pressure drain, which discharges collected condensate automatically as air flows through, so no manual draining routine is needed; automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are order options.
