GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR300-08ALNT is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body, so one component does both jobs in the air-preparation stage. This 300-size unit is fitted with a 1/4 in NPT port, a 40 um filter element, and an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention. It is the low-pressure (L) type, and no gauge is fitted (code N); a mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR range, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in and PT, G or NPT threads. Drain, filter grade, gauge and regulator-type options let you match the unit to the line. We do not publish a single rated flow figure - flow is given as curves - so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic clamping on a machining fixture

Filtered, regulated air feeds the clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture, holding workpieces at a set pressure while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the clamping circuit.

factory

Packaging machine air supply

A carton-sealing or wrapping line takes its control air through this filter regulator, protecting directional valves and actuators from water and debris at a stable low-pressure setting.

settings_input_component

Pick-and-place gripper circuit

On a robotic handling cell, the unit conditions the supply to gripper valves and suction ejectors, with the 40 um element guarding small orifices and the regulator holding gentle part-contact pressure.

Is the GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure the Right Unit?

Size up by port and flow demand: the 300 size with its 1/4 in NPT port suits typical machine supply drops, while 200, 400 and 600 cover smaller and larger steps. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (this unit) for unattended duty, manual where you want controlled blowdown, or differential-pressure as the default. The 40 um element is standard; specify code W for the 5 um grade if finer filtration is needed. A gauge can be added (square embedded or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scale) - this configuration ships without one. Thread is NPT here; PT is the standard and G is also an order option. A mounting bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-08ALNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4 Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow-curve data and check the sizing against your demand on request.

The A in the code selects the automatic drain, which expels collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted in an awkward or unattended spot. The N selects no gauge; if you want to read the regulated pressure, order a variant with the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scale.
