GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4

The AirTAC GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4

The AirTAC GFR300-08G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit is built with a G1/4 (BSPP) port, a manual drain for emptying the bowl, a 5 um filter element in place of the standard 40 um grade, and a low-pressure regulator type. It is fitted with an external round gauge reading in psi, and no mounting bracket is included. It is a genuine AirTAC part rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operation.

The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and can be ordered with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. This 300-size bowl is polycarbonate (PC). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
08Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4 Is Used

factory

Bottling-line clamp cylinders

Feeding clamp and hold-down cylinders on a bottling line where the actuator circuit runs at a low set pressure and needs water and fine particulate removed before the valve.

science

Paint-spray booth air supply

Conditioning supply air to spray guns in a paint booth: the 5 um element strips water and fine particles that can spoil the finish, while the regulator trims gun supply pressure.

conveyor_belt

Packaging conveyor diverters

Supplying diverters and stopper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the round psi gauge letting operators check and set the line pressure at a glance.

Is the GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4 the Right Unit?

Start with the port: this unit is 300 size with a 1/4 in G (BSPP) thread; larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow, so step up if your demand is higher. Choose the drain type - manual (as here, you empty the bowl by hand), automatic, or differential-pressure. Choose the filter grade: 40 um standard or 5 um (W code) for finer protection of downstream components. Gauge options are embedded square or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as order options, and a mounting bracket is optional (not fitted here). Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-08G AirTAC Low-Pressure Filter Regulator G1/4 FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Ask us and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for the GFR300 against your application before you order.

M is the manual drain: you empty the bowl by hand instead of relying on an automatic or differential-pressure drain. W is the filter grade: the optional 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um. C2 is the gauge: an external round gauge with a psi scale. The L code marks the low-pressure regulator type.
