GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge

The AirTAC GFR300-08T is a 300-size filter regulator that cleans compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one body. Water and particulate are separated in the 40 um element and collect in the polycarbonate bowl, which bleeds condensate automatically through the differential-pressure drain as flow passes through. The standard regulator adjusts outlet pressure across 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the fitted round gauge reads the setting in bar. Ports are 1/4 in NPT, and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) over a -5 to 70 C non-freezing range.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line runs from size 200 to 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options include automatic or manual drains, a 5 um element (code W), square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, a reverse/check valve, and G or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
3Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge Is Used

valve

Pneumatic valve manifold supply

Cleaned and pressure-set air feeding a bank of directional control valves on an assembly line, keeping actuator supply steady and protecting spools from water and grit.

factory

Packaging machine actuator feed

Regulated air to sealing jaws and clamp cylinders on a carton or pouch line, where a stable setpoint keeps jaw pressure repeatable shift after shift.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor air-jet cleaning station

Filtered, regulated supply for air-nozzle blow-off points along a conveyor, stopping scale and condensate from being blasted onto product or sensors.

Is the GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge the Right Unit?

Start with the port step: this unit is 1/4 in NPT; move to GFR200 for tighter lines or GFR400/600 as your flow demand grows, and match the size to the curve rather than the port alone. Choose the drain next - differential-pressure (as fitted here) suits steady flow, automatic for intermittent duty, manual where you want controlled bleeding. Pick the 40 um standard element for general supply air or the 5 um W-code element where downstream valves and instruments need finer filtration. Gauge style and scale are selectable (square embedded, or round external in MPa, psi or bar), as are PT, G or NPT threads and a mounting bracket. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-08T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/4, Round Gauge FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.

The differential-pressure drain bleeds condensate from the bowl automatically as air flows through, so it suits continuously running lines. For intermittent or low-flow duty choose the automatic-drain version, and for fully controlled bleeding choose manual drain - both are orderable in this series.
