GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single compact body. This 300-size unit is ordered with a 3/8 in NPT port, the low-pressure regulator type, a fine 5 um filter element (code W), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa. No mounting bracket is included with this configuration. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, square or external round gauges, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic clamping on a machining cell

Feeds filtered, regulated air to clamp cylinders on a CNC fixture line, where the fine 5 um element protects tight-tolerance clamping components and the low-pressure type suits circuits set below standard line pressure.

conveyor_belt

Packaging machine air supply

Prepares the air feeding diverters, seal bars and product-push cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the differential-pressure drain clearing condensate continuously during long production runs.

science

Laboratory automation skid

Conditions the air supply to a lab automation or analytical-instrument skid, where the 5 um grade, visible PC bowl and MPa gauge give operators clean air and a clear pressure reading at the panel.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um the Right Unit?

Size the unit by the port and flow step: 300 sits mid-range in the GFR family, and moving up to 400 or 600 buys more flow capacity at a larger port. This code already fixes several choices: 3/8 in NPT thread (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options), the low-pressure regulator type, the 5 um fine element instead of the 40 um standard, the differential-pressure drain, and a square MPa gauge. If your line needs a different drain, gauge scale, bracket or thread, those are decodable order options - tell us and we will quote the right code. Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your actual air demand before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR300 flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number on the page. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact model on request before you order.

The W in the code selects the optional 5 um fine filter grade instead of the 40 um standard element. Choose 5 um when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer particulate removal; choose the standard 40 um grade for general plant air. Both grades are order options across the GFR family.
