GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a size-300 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (finer than the 40 um standard), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate on its own, and a standard regulator with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range. No gauge is fitted with this code, and a mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl suits this size; max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is available with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining center air supply

Feeds filtered, regulated air to tool-changer and clamping circuits on a machining center. The 5 um element protects precision valves from particulate, and the automatic drain handles condensate during unattended shifts.

conveyor_belt

Carton sealing line actuation

Prepares air for the cylinders and grippers on a carton-sealing conveyor. The regulator holds a steady set pressure for consistent box clamping, while the automatic drain keeps the bowl clear between maintenance rounds.

science

Laboratory automation air prep

Supplies clean, regulated air to lab automation modules and pneumatic pipetting stations. The 5 um filtration guards sensitive control valves, and the included bracket allows tidy panel mounting near the equipment.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um the Right Unit?

Size and port step up with required flow: this size-300 unit carries a 3/8 in NPT port, one step above the 1/4 in of size 200. Drain type is a real choice: automatic (this code) clears condensate without attention, manual suits attended installations, and differential-pressure drain is the default variant. Filter grade is 5 um here versus the 40 um standard - choose 5 um where downstream valves and cylinders need finer protection. Gauge (square embedded or external round, with MPa, psi or bar scale) and reverse/check valve are order options and are not fitted on this code. Thread is NPT on this unit; PT is the catalogue standard and G is also available. A bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or l/min number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures for this 3/8 in size-300 unit on request.

The automatic drain expels collected condensate from the bowl on its own, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The GFR300 is also available with a manual drain or the default differential-pressure drain if you prefer a different service arrangement.
