GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a 300-size filter regulator that cleans compressed air and holds downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a round pressure gauge reading in bar. The standard regulator covers a setting range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR300 series is one of four sizes (200/300/400/600) with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, an optional 5 um element (code W), square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G or NPT thread variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining centre air supply

Feeding clean, pressure-set air to tool clamps, pallet changers and pneumatic actuators on a machining centre, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the valve stack.

valve

Packaging machine actuator feed

Regulating supply pressure to sealing jaws and pick-and-place cylinders on a packaging line, where a stable setpoint keeps cycle motion consistent through the shift.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor sorting line air prep

Conditioning air for diverter gates and stopper cylinders on a distribution conveyor, with the 40 um element protecting directional valves from water and debris.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain the Right Unit?

Start with the port step: the 300 size carries a 3/8 in port, one step up from 1/4 in; match it to your line size and required flow, and ask us to confirm sizing against the published flow curves before ordering. For the drain, this unit is automatic - condensate is discharged on its own, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drain versions exist if you prefer controlled or periodic discharge. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; specify the 5 um W variant only where finer particulate removal is needed. The round gauge on this unit reads in bar; square embedded gauges and MPa or psi scales are available. Thread is NPT on this code, with PT as the standard and G (BSPP) as an order option, and the mounting bracket is included.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Auto Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.

The automatic drain discharges collected condensate by itself, so the bowl does not need periodic manual draining - useful for units mounted high or in infrequently visited parts of the plant. The 40 um element is the standard filtration grade for general plant air; if your valves or tools need finer protection, the 5 um element is available as the W variant of the same size.
