The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a 300-size filter regulator that cleans compressed air and holds a stable downstream pressure in a single body. Filtration and regulation are combined, so one unit removes water and particulate down to 5 um and then regulates outlet pressure across a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) range. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a round external gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve fitted to help hold the set pressure if upstream supply drops. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits the 300 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR range spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-change clamps and pneumatic actuators on a CNC cell, where the 5 um element protects close-tolerance valves from water and swarf-laden shop air.
Prepares the air feeding conveyor diverters, bag sealers and carton-closing cylinders, with the automatic drain handling condensate on a line that runs unattended across shifts.
Conditions the bench air supply for lab automation rigs and sample-handling actuators, where the psi gauge and check valve keep the set pressure visible and held during a test run.
Size and port set the capacity: the 300 size with a 3/8 in NPT port sits in the middle of the GFR range, one step above the 200 series and below the 400 and 600. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your air demand before ordering. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer of the two grades - choose it where downstream valves and cylinders need cleaner air than the standard 40 um element provides. The automatic drain suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are available on other variants if you prefer operator control.
This unit is ordered with the round external gauge on a psi scale; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are the other catalogue options. The reverse/check valve is fitted here, and the J code means no mounting bracket is included - add a bracket separately if you mount on a wall or panel. PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options, and this unit is specified with NPT.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your application and air demand and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR300-10 on request before you order.
The A in the code sets the automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate on its own - useful where the unit is mounted out of easy reach. The W sets the 5 um filter element, one grade finer than the standard 40 um, for cleaner air to downstream equipment. Both are catalogue options; other variants offer manual or differential-pressure drains and the 40 um element.
