GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This 300-size unit has a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without anyone having to open it, a standard 40 um filter element, and a square pressure gauge reading in psi. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is made in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes covering ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, with a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, an optional 5 um element (code W), G(BSPP) or NPT thread options, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and a mounting bracket included on this configuration. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).

(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press and clamping cells

Placed at the drop of a press or clamp cell, this unit cleans the shop air of water and swarf and holds a steady regulated pressure to the directional valves, so cylinder force stays repeatable shift after shift.

conveyor_belt

Packaging and labelling machine supply

On packaging lines where moisture carryover smears glue heads and dirt jams pick-and-place cylinders, the 40 um element and automatic drain keep the air dry without daily bowl checks, and the regulator sets the pressure the machine was designed for.

build

CNC machining centre air preparation

Fitted ahead of a machining centre's air-intake manifold, this filter regulator protects solenoid valves and air bearings from condensate and particulate while the psi gauge gives operators a visible setpoint to check during startup.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain the Right Unit?

Size the unit by port and expected demand: this 300 size with a 3/8 in NPT port sits above the 1/4 in step; move up to 400 or 600 for heavier lines. Pick the drain to suit the installation - automatic (as here) for unattended or hard-to-reach points, manual where an operator checks regularly, differential-pressure where purge-on-load behaviour is preferred. The 40 um element is standard; specify 5 um (code W) for finer filtration. Gauge scales come in MPa, psi or bar, and G(BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered in place of the PT standard. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port arrangement, and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.

The automatic drain (code A) expels collected condensate on its own, which suits bowls mounted high, inside guards, or on machines nobody inspects daily. A manual drain (code M) needs someone to open it, and the differential-pressure drain (the default, no code) purges in step with the loading. All three are order options across the GFR sizes if your installation changes.
