GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 300 unit is specified with a 3/8 in PT port, a manual drain on the PC (polycarbonate) bowl, the standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a mounting bracket. It is the low-pressure regulator type, so its setpoint range differs from the standard unit; we confirm the exact range from the datasheet on request. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of drain (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) filtration, gauge scale options in MPa, psi or bar, and G or NPT thread variants to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the sizing figures for your application before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure Is Used

tune

Low-pressure clamping circuit trim

On a pneumatic clamping fixture that runs at low set pressures, this unit filters the shop air and lets the operator dial in and hold the clamp pressure, with the psi gauge giving a direct local reading at the fixture.

factory

Packaging machine air preparation

Feeding the sealing and actuation cylinders of a packaging line, the GFR300-10 strips water and pipe scale from the supply and regulates it to the pressure the machine's valve island was set up for.

settings_input_component

Bench-top leak-test rig supply

On a test bench where parts are pressurised at low settings, this unit cleans the incoming compressed air and gives the technician fine manual control of the test pressure, read directly off the square psi gauge.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure the Right Unit?

Size 300 with a PT3/8 port suits circuits plumbed at 3/8 in; step up or down a size when your porting or air demand changes, and we will check the flow curve against your requirement before you order. On this unit the real choices are: drain type (manual here, with automatic and differential-pressure available in the series), filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with code W), gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar - this one is psi, and an external round gauge is optional), and thread (PT is the standard; G and NPT are order options). As a low-pressure type, its regulation range differs from the standard unit, so we confirm the exact range from the datasheet on request.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and application details and we will confirm the relevant flow data from the datasheet before you order.

A manual drain means the bowl is bled by hand during routine checks, which suits attended equipment on a maintenance schedule. For installations that run unattended or in humid conditions, the differential-pressure (default) or automatic drain codes remove collected water without operator action; just specify the matching code when ordering.
