GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a 300-size filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a PT3/8 (3/8 in) PT thread port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, and a round pressure gauge with a psi scale. It is supplied without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range with manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), a 5 um element option (code W), gauge styles and MPa/psi/bar scales, and G or NPT thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic press air prep

Clean, regulated air ahead of a bench or C-frame pneumatic press, with the operator setting working pressure at the psi round gauge and bleeding the manual drain at shift start.

view_module

Packaging machine supply

Point-of-use conditioning for cartoning or wrapping machines, where the 40 um element protects valves and cylinders and the regulator holds a steady supply pressure.

conveyor_belt

Conveyor actuation circuit

Filtering and regulating air to conveyor stopper and pusher cylinders, with the manual-drain bowl emptied during scheduled line maintenance.

Is the GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain the Right Unit?

Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow your line needs; this 300 size carries a PT3/8 port. Choose the drain to suit access: manual (as here) when an operator can bleed the bowl on a schedule, automatic or differential-pressure where the unit is hard to reach. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is required. Gauge style and scale (square embedded or round external; MPa, psi or bar) and thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) are decodable choices, and a bracket can be ordered where this no-bracket version does not suit the mounting. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Manual Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this model on request before you order.

The M in the code GFR30010MJC2 specifies a manual drain, so the polycarbonate bowl is bled by hand rather than automatically, and C2 specifies the round external gauge with a psi scale. If you prefer automatic or differential-pressure draining, or an MPa or bar scale, those are available in the same family as different codes.
