GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10T is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, all in one body. This size 300 unit has a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and a round pressure gauge scaled in MPa. The polycarbonate bowl lets you check the condensate level at a glance; no mounting bracket is included with this configuration.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, filter grades of 40 um standard or 5 um (code W), a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, and gauge options. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine pneumatic clamping

Feeds clean, pressure-regulated air to the workholding clamps and tool-change cylinders on a machining centre, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the clamp circuit during long unattended runs.

factory

Automotive paint-shop air drops

Installed at the drop to spray booths and air-driven applicators, where the 40 um element removes water and pipe scale and the regulator holds a steady gun pressure for consistent finish quality.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line sorting cylinders

Supplies regulated air to the diverters, pushers and stopper cylinders along a packaging conveyor, with the automatic drain protecting the valves from moisture carried over from the compressor room.

Is the GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain the Right Unit?

Pick the size step (200/300/400/600) and port to match the flow your line needs - here size 300 with a 3/8 in NPT thread. Choose the drain: automatic (this unit) for unattended condensate removal, manual where you prefer periodic draining, or differential-pressure as the catalogue default. The 40 um element suits general air preparation; specify 5 um (code W) where finer filtration is required. Gauge type and scale are selectable (MPa, psi or bar), PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options, and a bracket can be added if needed. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-10T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Auto Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for this series as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.

The A in the code GFR300-10T specifies an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate from the polycarbonate bowl on its own - useful on lines that run unattended. A manual drain (code M) is the choice where you prefer to drain the bowl periodically during checks, and the blank code is the differential-pressure default.
