The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/2 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This size 300 unit is threaded 1/2 in NPT (PT is the standard thread; G and NPT are order options). It carries the fine 5 um filter element (code W) instead of the standard 40 um, a manual drain on the bowl, a round external gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse/check valve. No mounting bracket is fitted on this configuration. The bowl on size 300 is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with matching port sizes, a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and optional G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, pressure-set air to the tool-change and clamping circuits of a CNC machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting tight-tolerance valves from fine particulate.
Sits at the drop of a packaging conveyor's air header, regulating pressure to carton-forming and sealing cylinders while the manual drain lets operators clear condensate at shift checks.
Regulates supply pressure to a pneumatic clamping press in a fabrication cell, with the check valve holding the set circuit against upstream pressure loss.
Start with the port and size step: GFR300 covers the 1/2 in port class, and the right size depends on the flow your line needs - we can check the published flow curves against your demand before you order. This unit has the 5 um element (W); choose 40 um if coarser general-purpose filtration is enough. Drain is manual here, so an operator drains the bowl; automatic or differential-pressure drain versions are available if you prefer unattended draining. The round gauge on this unit reads in psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are other options. Thread is NPT on this code, with PT standard and G available. If you need a mounting bracket, order a configuration without the J code.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Tell us your line's air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
This configuration (code M) uses a manual drain: an operator opens it to discharge collected condensate, which suits attended cells and shift-check routines. If the unit will sit unattended, order the automatic-drain or differential-pressure-drain variant of the GFR300 instead.
