The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR300-15 is an AirTAC filter regulator: water-and-particulate filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body with one G1/2 (BSPP) port. This configuration is the low-pressure type, fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. The bowl is polycarbonate (PC), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and no mounting bracket or reverse/check valve is fitted.
It is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, 40 um standard or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G or NPT threads as order options. Working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Because AirTAC publishes flow only as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated low-pressure air to clamp and hold-down cylinders on an assembly press, with the 5 um element protecting valve seals and the automatic drain keeping condensate out during shift-long runs.
Supplies clean, low-pressure regulated air to bench-top test rigs and lab instrumentation, where the 5 um grade and an on-unit psi gauge give operators a visible, stable setting at the point of use.
Powers diverters, pushers and gate cylinders on a packaging conveyor, combining filtration and regulation in one body to save panel space while the auto drain handles condensate from humid plant air.
Size and port step up with required flow: this unit is size 300 with a 1/2 inch port; step to size 400 or 600 if your line needs more air, or down to 200 for compact drops. The 5 um element (code W) suits downstream equipment needing finer filtration than the 40 um standard; the automatic drain suits unattended duty, with manual and differential-pressure drains as the alternatives. The square gauge here reads in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are options. This is the low-pressure type, intended for lower downstream pressure settings - its exact adjustment range is not published, so tell us your set point and we will confirm suitability. Threads come as PT (standard), G or NPT to order, and a mounting bracket can be added. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact configuration on request.
The W code specifies the 5 um filter grade instead of the 40 um standard, for finer protection of downstream equipment. The A code specifies an automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate by itself - the alternatives are a manual drain or the default differential-pressure drain.
