The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um, Bar Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a size-300 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is ordered with a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (finer than the 40 um standard), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an external round gauge reading in bar. The polycarbonate bowl lets you see the condensate level at a glance, and the unit is ordered without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-change cylinders and pneumatic clamps on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects close-tolerance valves from swarf-laden shop air.
Conditions the air feeding spray guns in a paint line: water and fine particulate are stripped out before the regulator sets the stable atomizing pressure the finish depends on.
Supplies filtered, regulated air to the diverters and pusher cylinders on a carton sorting conveyor, with the differential drain handling condensate during continuous production runs.
Size and port set the flow path: this size-300 unit carries a 1/2 in port, so step up to size 400 or 600 if your line needs more air, or down to 200 if it does not. The 5 um element (code W) suits instruments, valves and paint equipment that tolerate less particulate than the 40 um standard; the trade-off is a denser element to keep clean. Drain choice matters: the differential-pressure drain fitted here needs no daily attention but only purges while air is flowing, so pick an automatic drain for intermittent duty or a manual drain where you want full control. The round bar gauge is ordered in place of the embedded square gauge; MPa and psi scales are also available. Thread is NPT here, with PT and G orderable. Brackets can be added if you want panel mounting rather than in-line piping. Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM figure. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures for you before you order.
The W code in GFR300-15JC3WT orders the optional 5 um element in place of the 40 um standard. Choose 5 um where downstream instruments, valves or spray equipment need finer filtration; the 40 um element remains the standard choice for general plant air. The differential-pressure drain on this unit purges condensate automatically as air flows through.
