The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit has a PT1/2 (1/2 in) PT thread, a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, and a standard regulator with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). The built-in square gauge reads in psi, a reverse/check valve is fitted, and a mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR300 series is one of four sizes (200/300/400/600) with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options include automatic or differential-pressure drains, the 40 um standard element, gauge scale in MPa or bar, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm flow and datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to a pneumatic press or clamping fixture: the 5 um element protects valves and cylinders from particulate and condensed water, while the regulator holds a stable working pressure and the check valve holds downstream pressure if supply dips.
A point-of-use filter regulator on the air supply to packaging machinery, where the PT1/2 port serves larger air consumers, the psi gauge lets operators set and verify line pressure at a glance, and the manual drain is bled during shift checks.
Mounting on the air drop to an automated assembly cell: the included bracket fixes the unit to the panel, the 5 um grade suits sensitive directional valves and actuators, and the regulator's 0.05-0.9 MPa range covers typical actuation pressures.
Size and port step up with required flow: the 300 size with its PT1/2 port sits mid-range in the GFR family, so check your line's air demand against the published flow curve before committing - we will confirm sizing on request. Drain type is a real choice here: this unit has a manual drain, which suits attended installations where an operator bleeds the bowl; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes for unattended duty. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer option versus the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and cylinders need cleaner air. Gauge scale is psi on this unit (MPa and bar are available), PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options, and a bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand. It suits installations that are checked regularly. If the unit will run unattended, ask about the automatic or differential-pressure drain versions of the same GFR300 size.
