The AirTAC GFR300-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR300-15 is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and reduces pressure downstream, in a single 300-size unit with PT1/2 (1/2 in) ports. This configuration is the low-pressure regulator type, so it is aimed at circuits that run well below standard line pressure; the exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published, and we confirm it on request. It carries the standard 40 um filter element, a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate), a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and no mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, a 40 um standard or 5 um (W) element, gauge style and scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the flow and datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On an assembly-line clamping station, this filter regulator cleans the plant air supply and holds a reduced, stable working pressure to the clamp cylinders, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct reading at the fixture.
Feeding the air cylinders on a carton-forming or bagging machine, the 300-size unit with 1/2 in ports conditions the incoming compressed air, while the manual drain lets maintenance staff bleed accumulated water during scheduled rounds.
Where a process or test rig runs at reduced pressure rather than full line pressure, the low-pressure regulator type provides the stepped-down supply, with the 40 um element protecting downstream valves and tools from water and debris.
Size and port: the 300 size with PT1/2 (1/2 in) ports sits mid-range in the GFR line; step up to 400 or 600 for larger supply lines, or down to 200 for compact circuits, matching the port step to the air demand of the machine. Drain: this unit has a manual drain, which suits positions an operator passes regularly; choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain option where bowls are hard to reach. Filter grade: the standard 40 um element covers general plant air; specify the 5 um (W) element for finer pre-filtration. Gauge: this configuration has a round gauge in psi; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. Thread: PT is the standard here, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order. Bracket: supplied without a bracket, so plan your own mounting or order the bracket version.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, and the low-pressure regulator's exact adjustment range is not published, ask us to confirm sizing and figures against your application before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number. Tell us your application and line conditions and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in GFR30015MLJC2 specifies a manual drain: moisture collected in the PC bowl is released by hand, which suits positions visited during routine maintenance. If the bowl is hard to reach, the GFR300 is also available with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain instead.
