The AirTAC GFR300-15 NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator 1/2 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and an embedded square gauge scaled in bar. A reverse/check valve is fitted, and the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, manual or automatic drain choices, 40 um or 5 um elements, and MPa, psi or bar gauge scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the tool-change clamps and pneumatic actuators on a CNC machining centre, with the 5 um element protecting tight-tolerance valve spools from particulate.
Sits in the supply drop to a packaging line's diverter gates and bag-sealing cylinders, holding a steady set pressure through shift-long stop-start cycling while the check valve holds downstream pressure on exhaust.
Conditions the air feeding a lab sample-preparation bench where pneumatic agitators and purge nozzles need clean, stable low-pressure air, with the bar-scaled square gauge giving a clear local setpoint readout.
Size and port set the capacity: the 300 frame with a 1/2 in NPT port suits mid-range supply lines, stepping up to 400/600 or down to 200 as your demand changes. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer choice over the standard 40 um where downstream valves and instruments need cleaner air. Drain here is differential-pressure, which self-purges with flow; automatic or manual drains are available in the family if your duty differs. The square gauge is scaled in bar; MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge are options. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT as order options, and a bracket can be added. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W in the code GFR30015JF3WTK selects the 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, giving finer particulate removal for sensitive downstream equipment. The K selects a reverse/check valve, which prevents downstream backflow through the unit. The drain is the differential-pressure default and the gauge is the embedded square type scaled in bar.
