The AirTAC GFR300-15 NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator, 1/2 in, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This 300-size unit is fitted with a 1/2 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, an embedded square gauge reading in MPa, and a reverse (check) valve. It handles a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), with a regulation range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, optional 5 um (W) filter elements, automatic or differential-pressure drains, psi or bar gauge scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the tool-clamp and pallet-clamp circuits on a CNC machining centre, with the square gauge letting the setter verify set pressure at the machine.
Conditions the air feeding pick-and-place and case-sealing cylinders on a packaging line, holding a stable set pressure so carton forming and sealing strokes stay repeatable.
Supplies clean, regulated air to the gripper and weld-gun actuation circuits in a robotic welding cell, with the check valve holding downstream pressure if the main supply dips.
Size and port step up together: 200 through 600 cover 1/8 in to 1 in, and the right step depends on the flow your line needs - ask us to check the published curve against your demand before ordering. Drain choice matters: manual (this unit) needs periodic bleeding, automatic drains continuously, and the differential-pressure default dumps when the pressure drop warrants it. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W; gauge scale is MPa (this unit), psi or bar; thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options; a mounting bracket can be added or omitted (this unit ships without one).
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and the air demand of your equipment and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curve on request before you order.
This GFR300-15 has a manual drain: condensate collects in the polycarbonate bowl and is released by opening the drain when servicing. Choose the automatic drain option (code A) for installations that run unattended or are not easy to reach; the differential-pressure drain (no code) is the default and discharges when the element loading warrants it.
