The AirTAC GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is built on the 300 size with a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a 5 um filtration element for finer protection than the standard 40 um grade, and an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention. The fitted round gauge reads in psi, and the integrated check valve holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this 300 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and each size can be ordered with manual, automatic or differential-pressure draining, a 40 um or 5 um element, different gauge styles and scales, PT, G or NPT threads, and with or without a mounting bracket. Flow figures for this series are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a bench-mounted pneumatic press, the GFR300-15G cleans the shop air to 5 um and holds a set working pressure at the press cylinder, while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the valve stack without daily bowl checks.
On a cartoning or wrapping line with multiple air cylinders and diverters, this unit conditions the 1/2-inch branch feed, and the check valve keeps the downstream circuit pressurised if the main supply dips during changeover.
Supplying air tools and clamps in a robotic assembly cell, the regulator sets a stable tool pressure from the 0.15-0.9 MPa range, the psi gauge gives operators a direct reading, and the 5 um element protects quick-connect couplings and tool motors.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is 300 size with a G1/2 port, one step up from the 200/1/4 class and one step below the 400/3/4 class, so match the step to the air demand of the circuit. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic (this unit) suits installations that are not checked daily, manual suits attended stations, and the default differential-pressure drain discharges on pressure drops. Choose the 5 um element (code W, as here) when downstream valves or instruments need finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. Gauge style and scale are selectable (embedded square or external round; MPa, psi or bar - this unit is a round psi gauge), as are thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and bracket (this unit is ordered without one). Flow for the series is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your air demand and let us confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application's air demand and downstream pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
This configuration carries code A, the automatic drain, which discharges collected condensate without anyone opening the bowl - useful for cells that run unattended. The same GFR300-15 body is also available with a manual drain or the default differential-pressure drain, and the 5 um element (code W) can be swapped for the standard 40 um grade if finer filtration is not needed.
