AirTAC GFR300 · Filter Regulator (filter + regulator in one body)

GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure

The AirTAC GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure

The GFR300-15G is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um standard filter element and the low-pressure regulator type. A round external gauge scaled in psi is fitted, and no mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR300 is the 300 size of the G-series filter-regulator line, which spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, plus drain, filter-grade (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge, thread (PT standard; G and NPT to order) and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
CGauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
GG (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure Is Used

precision_manufacturing

Pneumatic clamping on machining cells

Feeds filtered, regulated low-pressure air to clamp and fixture cylinders on a CNC machining cell, with the psi-scaled round gauge letting the operator check set pressure at a glance and the manual drain cleared during shift checks.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Conditions the air feeding pick-and-place and box-forming actuators on a packaging line, removing water and particulate before it reaches valves and cylinders while holding a stable low-pressure setting for gentle handling.

valve

Low-pressure process valve actuation

Supplies clean, regulated air to diaphragm-actuated process valves in a low-pressure circuit, where the 40 um element protects the valve internals and the manual-drain bowl is emptied as part of routine plant maintenance.

Is the GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure the Right Unit?

The real choices in this series are the size and port step (200/300/400/600, ports 1/8 to 1 inch) matched to the air your circuit needs; the drain type (manual here, with automatic and differential-pressure alternatives); the filter element (40 um standard, 5 um with code W); the gauge (embedded square standard, external round optional, in MPa, psi or bar scales); and the thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order). This unit omits the mounting bracket (code J) and is the low-pressure regulator type. Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so please ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300-15G AirTAC Filter Regulator, G1/2, Low-Pressure FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for this family as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your application and line conditions and we will confirm the sizing and the relevant datasheet curve on request before you order.

The M in the code means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand: open the drain periodically to expel collected water instead of relying on an automatic or differential-pressure mechanism (both available elsewhere in the series). The C2 code adds an external round gauge scaled in psi, so the regulated setting is read directly in US units; MPa and bar scales are also available.
