The AirTAC GFR300-15MJC3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15MJC3WT is a size 300 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is threaded NPT1/2, uses a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl (you drain it by hand as part of routine checks), and carries a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. The fitted external round gauge reads in bar, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation for a CNC machining center: the 5 um element protects solenoid valves and spindle-area actuators from water and fine particulate, while the regulator holds a steady set pressure to the machine's pneumatic circuits.
Feeding the air cylinders that stop, push and divert packs on a conveyor line. The regulator keeps actuator speed consistent as upstream pressure drifts, and the manual drain bowl is emptied during scheduled line cleaning.
Conditioning air at a bottling line rinse and capping station, where moisture carry-over into the valve manifold causes sticky spools. The 5 um grade and stable regulated pressure keep the station's pneumatic functions repeatable through each shift.
Size 300 with a 1/2 in port suits lines running higher air consumption than size 200 units; step up to size 400 or 600, or down to 200, according to the flow your circuit needs - we can check the flow curves against your demand before you order. The 5 um element (code W) is the right pick when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer air than the standard 40 um grade. The manual drain suits installations where an operator drains the bowl during routine rounds; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain codes if the bowl cannot be attended regularly. The round gauge is fitted here with a bar scale; square embedded gauges and MPa/psi scales are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this unit (PT is the standard series thread, G and NPT are order options), and this code carries no mounting bracket (code J), so plan your own mounting if required.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures against your required consumption before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand. Choose manual drain where the bowl is easily accessible and drained during routine maintenance rounds; if the installation is unattended or hard to reach, select an automatic or differential-pressure drain code instead. Note that with manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
