The AirTAC GFR30015JF2WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR30015JF2WT is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air through a 5 um element (the fine-grade option; 40 um is the standard grade) and holds downstream pressure within a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range. The 15 port code gives a 1/2 in NPT thread, the embedded square gauge reads in psi, and the differential-pressure bowl drains automatically as the pressure drop across the element builds - no manual draining routine. The bowl on this 300 size is polycarbonate (PC). Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. No mounting bracket is included with the J code, and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, plus choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge scale and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A 1/2 in air line feeding a pneumatic press or clamping fixture gets one-pass water removal and a regulated, psi-readable set pressure, with the differential drain clearing condensate as the element loads up.
On a packaging line where carton sealers and diverters run all shift, the 5 um element keeps fine particulate out of directional valves and cylinders while the regulator holds a steady line pressure.
A dedicated 1/2 in drop at a CNC cell supplying air blow-off, chip ejection and tool-change actuators gets filtered, regulated air, with the square psi gauge letting the setter verify the set point at a glance.
For this unit the real choices are already fixed in the code: 300 size with a 1/2 in NPT port, 5 um filtration, psi square gauge, differential-pressure drain, no bracket. Step up or down a size (200/300/400/600) when the port or the flow demand of the machine changes. Choose the 5 um W grade over the standard 40 um when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection; choose automatic or manual drain instead of differential-pressure where condensate handling differs; pick the gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar) to match the operators on site; order G (BSPP) or NPT thread where PT will not do. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your line pressure, set pressure and the air demand of the equipment, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W code selects the fine 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um, for tighter protection of downstream valves, cylinders and instruments. Drain is the differential-pressure type: it discharges condensate automatically as the pressure drop across the element rises, so there is no manual draining routine. Automatic (A) and manual (M) drain versions are available in the family.
