AirTAC GFR300 · Filter Regulator (filter + regulator in one body)

GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in

The AirTAC GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in

The AirTAC GFR30015MJF2T is a size-300 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, and a standard regulation range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). With no bracket fitted, plan your own mounting arrangement.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, plus drain, filter-grade, gauge and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
MDrain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)).

JSupplied without bracket.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining-cell air preparation

Feed a filtered, regulated air supply to the tool-change and clamping circuits on a CNC machining centre, with the psi gauge giving operators a clear setpoint readout at the cell.

conveyor_belt

Packaging-line actuator supply

Condition the air feeding pneumatic cylinders and diverters on a carton packaging line, protecting valves from water and debris while holding the pressure the actuators were set up for.

engineering

Robotic weld-cell gripper air

Supply clean, regulated air to end-of-arm grippers and weld-gun clamps in a robotic welding cell, where the manual drain suits a station that is checked at each shift start.

Is the GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in the Right Unit?

Size the unit by stepping through the size/port ladder (200/300/400/600; 1/8 in to 1 in) against the flow your line needs - the 1/2 in NPT port on this model suits mid-to-larger drops. Choose the drain to match attendance: manual drain (this model) needs someone to open it, automatic suits unattended duty, and differential-pressure drain is the default. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (code W) if finer filtration is required. Gauge scale here is psi; MPa and bar scales are also available, and an external round gauge is optional. PT is the standard thread - order G or NPT explicitly if you need it, as on this model. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR30015MJF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 1/2 in FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure, downstream pressure and expected air demand, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.

The M in the code specifies a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl: collected condensate must be released by hand. Choose this when someone is at the station regularly; automatic or differential-pressure drain versions suit unattended installations. The manual-drain version also carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
