The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 400-size unit is fitted with a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, and an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa. With manual drainage, the regulator set range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um element option (code W), G or NPT thread options, gauge scale choices, and an optional reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a workshop pneumatic press or clamp cylinder circuit: the filter stage strips water and pipe scale before the air reaches the valve stack, while the regulator holds a steady working pressure at the cylinder regardless of compressor swings.
Supplying air to carton-sealing and case-packing machinery on a packaging line: clean, regulated air keeps the diverters and pusher cylinders cycling consistently through a shift, and the manual drain is bled at scheduled changeovers.
Conditioning the air feed to a laboratory test bench or pilot rig: the 40 um element and settable regulator give the bench a defined, repeatable supply pressure, with the MPa square gauge giving the operator a direct reading of the set point.
Choose the size and port step against the air consumption of the machine or line you are supplying - the 400 size with its 3/8 in NPT port suits circuits above the 300-size range, and larger sizes carry more flow. This unit has a manual drain, so it needs periodic bleeding by an operator; if unattended drainage is required, the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants are the alternatives. The standard 40 um element suits general pneumatic supply; specify the 5 um W option where finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge here is scaled in MPa (psi and bar scales are available), and G (BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered where PT is not the standard. A mounting bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for the GFR400-10 on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR40010MF1T specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by hand at intervals. If you cannot rely on periodic bleeding, the same GFR400 body is available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank) instead.
