The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in NPT, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, an automatic drain that discharges collected condensate without manual attention, a 40 um standard filter element, and a reverse/check valve fitted. No gauge is fitted and no mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl suits general-purpose compressed-air duty.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of PT, G or NPT thread, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drain, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge options and reverse/check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning ahead of the valve island on a cartoning or case-packing line: the 40 um element strips water and debris before the directional valves, and the regulator holds a steady setting to the actuators. The automatic drain keeps the bowl clear across multi-shift running without an operator round.
Feeding the short-stroke gating, stopper and divertor cylinders along a conveyor or sortation line. The filter regulator sits at the branch take-off, the 3/8 in NPT port matches typical branch drops, and the reverse/check valve helps hold the downstream setting if supply pressure dips.
A conditioning point on a plant maintenance drop or tool bench where impact wrenches, clamps and air cylinders are connected. The regulator lets the technician set a safe working pressure per job, the automatic drain handles condensate between uses, and the 40 um grade suits general tool protection.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port, and larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow - match the size to the air demand of the circuit. Choose the drain: automatic (this unit) empties the bowl on its own, manual needs operator attention, and the default differential-pressure drain bleeds when the pressure differential rises. Pick the element: 40 um is standard, 5 um (code W) is the finer option. Gauges and scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and bracket are all decodable choices.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rating, so we cannot quote a rated number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated number. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request before you order.
This configuration (code N) is supplied without a gauge. The GFR family offers an embedded square gauge or an optional external round gauge with MPa, psi or bar scale, selectable in the model code. If you need a visible outlet-pressure reading, ask us for the gauge-equipped variant of the same size and port.
