The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator 3/8 in PT, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit carries 3/8 in PT ports, a polycarbonate bowl with manual drain, a 40 um standard filter element, and a built-in square gauge scaled in psi. The manual drain means an operator opens the drain at the bottom of the bowl to discharge collected condensate, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), with an operating temperature range of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filter grades, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed on the drop line feeding a pneumatic press station, the unit filters machining moisture and swarf-carrying condensate from the shop air and holds a stable regulated pressure at the press valve, with the psi gauge giving the operator a direct setpoint readout.
Mounted ahead of the cylinder bank on a packaging conveyor, the filter regulator cleans the plant air supply and sets the working pressure that the conveyor stopper and pusher cylinders see, protecting seals from overpressure and the manual drain allowing end-of-shift water removal.
Fitted at the bench supply of a laboratory or test rig using air-driven equipment, the unit strips water and pipe-scale particles from the house compressed air and lets the technician dial in a repeatable regulated pressure, read on the built-in psi gauge.
Choose the size and port step against the air demand of your circuit: the 400 size with 3/8 in PT ports sits in the middle of the GFR range, one step up from the 300. Pick the drain type to suit maintenance routines: this configuration uses a manual drain, which suits attended installations where an operator can bleed the bowl regularly; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on other variants. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general-purpose air preparation; specify the 5 um (W) grade where finer particulate removal is needed. The fitted square gauge is scaled in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are options. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order; the J code means this unit ships without a mounting bracket.
Flow for the GFR series is published as curves, not as a single rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application and the full datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code in GFR40010MJF2 specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is discharged by opening the drain by hand, which suits installations that are checked regularly. The GFR series is also available with a differential-pressure drain (the default) or an automatic drain if you prefer unattended water removal.
