The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is sized at 3/8 in with NPT threads, carries a 40 um filtration element (the standard grade), and drains condensate automatically, so the bowl empties itself as water collects without anyone opening the drain. A round pressure gauge scaled in MPa is fitted, a reverse/check valve is built in to hold the set pressure if upstream supply is interrupted, and a mounting bracket is included for panel or frame fixing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um element option, gauge and scale options, and G/NPT thread variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to the clamping and pressing cylinders on a stamping or assembly press, with the automatic drain keeping condensate out of the valve stack.
A dedicated 3/8 in drop feeding a carton sealer or case packer, where the regulator holds a steady set pressure for the sealing jaws and the 40 um element protects the solenoid valves.
Supplying the gripper and tool-change circuits on a robotic welding or handling cell, with the check valve holding the set pressure if the plant air dips and the bracket fixing the unit to the cell frame.
Start with the port step: this unit is the 400 size at 3/8 in NPT, one step above the 300 series, so step up if your line flow demands it - we can check the published flow curves against your consumption before you order. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W option only if the application needs 5 um. The automatic drain on this unit suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations; manual and differential-pressure drains are the alternatives. The fitted round gauge reads in MPa, with psi and bar scales available, and an embedded square gauge is the other option. Thread is NPT here; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option. A bracket is included.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Tell us your line consumption and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The A in the code means the bowl drains condensate automatically, which suits installations that run unattended or sit where the drain is hard to reach. If you prefer to control draining yourself, the same unit is available with a manual drain (code M) or the differential-pressure drain that is the default.
