The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT 3/8 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit is fitted with 3/8 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element is high enough. No pressure gauge is fitted and no mounting bracket is included, so plan to add a gauge and bracket separately if your panel needs them. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulated outlet is adjustable from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl keeps the condensate level visible at a glance.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and optional gauges, brackets and reverse valves. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air to the tool-clamp and pallet-clamp circuits of a CNC machining centre, protecting spool valves and clamping cylinders from water and fine particles while holding a stable clamp pressure.
Supplies conditioned air to the pneumatic diverters, pushers and sealing jaws of a packaging line, keeping moisture out of the valve bank and giving operators one point to set the working pressure for the whole section.
Prepares the atomising and actuation air for a spray booth, where the 5 um element helps keep fine contamination out of the paint circuit and the regulator lets the booth set a repeatable atomising pressure.
Size the unit by the flow your line needs: the GFR400 steps up from the 200 and 300 sizes with a larger 3/8 in port, and moving to the 600 size gives a larger port again. Choose the 5 um element (as fitted here) when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need finer protection than the 40 um standard grade. The differential-pressure drain suits installations that see steady duty and want condensate removed without daily attention; pick an automatic drain for constant bleeding or a manual drain where an operator drains on schedule. No gauge is fitted with this code, so add one if you need to set or monitor the outlet pressure, and remember the thread here is NPT while PT and G (BSPP) are the other order options. Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves, not as a single rated number, so we will not quote you a figure that is not in the datasheet. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port requirements and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet for this exact model on request.
The -10JNWT code specifies no gauge (N) and no bracket (J), so you can fit your own gauge where it is easiest to read and mount the unit to suit your panel. The W in the code selects the 5 um filter element, the finer catalogue grade, instead of the 40 um standard element.
