The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This unit is the size 400 series with a 3/8 in NPT port, the low-pressure regulator type, a manual drain on the PC (polycarbonate) bowl, and the standard 40 um filter element. The embedded square gauge (bar scale) is fitted, a reverse/check valve is incorporated, and a mounting bracket is included. Maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, threads (PT standard; G and NPT as order options), drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge styles and scales, and a low-pressure regulator option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm datasheet and flow figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered and regulated air feeding directional control valves and clamping cylinders, with the check valve holding the set circuit and the square bar gauge giving the operator a direct set-pressure readout.
A single filter-regulator point supplying air to conveyor stops, diverters and packaging actuators, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled line maintenance rounds.
Conditioning the shop-air drop before it reaches the CNC cell's air-powered tooling and purge points, with 40 um filtration protecting downstream components and the low-pressure type matching a reduced set pressure.
Choose the size 400 / 3/8 in port step where your line sits in the middle of the GFR flow range; step up or down by application demand, which we check against the published flow curves before you order. This configuration is the low-pressure regulator type - its exact adjustment range is not published in the standard table, so confirm the set pressure with us. The manual drain means the bowl is emptied by hand, which suits stations attended on a maintenance round; automatic or differential-pressure drains are available if you prefer unattended draining. Filtration is the 40 um standard element; specify the W code for 5 um where finer protection is needed. The square gauge with bar scale is fitted; other scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread here is NPT (PT is the standard series thread; G and NPT are order options), and the mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so no rated flow number is quoted here. Send us your application's flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR40010MLF3TK is the manual drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is emptied by hand rather than automatically. It suits stations checked on a routine maintenance round. If you need unattended draining, the differential-pressure (default) or automatic (A) drain versions are available in the same size.
