The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT 3/8 in, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body. This configuration carries a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um filter element, a round pressure gauge with bar scale, and a reverse/check valve. The standard regulator covers a set range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual drain, against a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, and gauge variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet details for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fit the GFR400-10 on the air drop feeding a CNC machining center's pneumatic clamps and tool changer. The 40 um element strips water and swarf-carried debris before the valves, the bar-scale gauge lets you set and verify regulated pressure at the cell, and the manual drain is bled at shift start.
Condition the branch feeding pick-and-place cylinders and grippers on a carton packaging conveyor. The filter-regulator keeps condensate and particulate out of directional valve spools, and the fitted reverse/check valve helps hold the downstream setting if the upstream supply dips.
Place the unit ahead of the spray guns in a paint finishing booth. It delivers clean, regulated air at the gun with the pressure read directly off the round bar gauge, and the manual drain is emptied before each coating session to keep moisture out of the finish.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range; step up to size 600 for a larger port and more flow, or down to 200/300 for compact drops. Drain type matters in service: this unit is manual drain (M), so the bowl is bled by hand on a routine; automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) variants drain with less attention. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (W) where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The fitted round gauge reads in bar; square embedded gauges and MPa/psi scales are available on other variants. Thread is NPT here; PT is the AirTAC standard and G (BSPP) is also an order option. A bracket is included and the reverse/check valve is fitted.
Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details - connected equipment, working pressure and duty - and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code means collected condensate is released by opening the bowl drain by hand, so it should be bled as part of a routine check. If you would rather not rely on manual bleeding, GFR variants with automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drains are available in the same family. With a manual drain, the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
