The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, NPT3/8, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two grades offered), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, an embedded square pressure gauge scaled in MPa, and a built-in reverse/check valve that holds the downstream setting if upstream supply is interrupted. A mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjustment range with this drain type is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, an optional low-pressure regulator type, and PT, G or NPT threads. We do not quote a single rated flow figure because AirTAC publishes flow as curves; ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Placed ahead of a pneumatic press or clamping station, the unit cleans the shop air to 5 um and holds a steady regulated pressure to the cylinder, while the check valve keeps the setting if the main supply dips mid-cycle.
On a cartoning or wrapping line with solenoid valves and small actuators, the 5 um element and water removal protect the valves from condensate and debris, and the MPa gauge gives operators a visible set-point at the machine.
Feeding gauges, sensors or air-bearing fixtures on a lab or QC bench, the regulator gives a fine, repeatable setting in the 0.15-0.9 MPa range, and the check valve holds the downstream pressure while the bench supply is switched.
Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) and their port sizes (1/8 to 1 in) to match the air demand of the circuit; the 400 size with its 3/8 in NPT port sits in the mid-to-upper range of the family. Choose the drain to suit access: differential-pressure (this unit) needs no attention during operation, automatic suits unattended installations, and manual suits points that are checked routinely. This unit carries the 5 um (W) element instead of the 40 um standard, which suits air that feeds sensitive components downstream; note the finer element is an ordered option, not the default. The square gauge is fitted and scaled in MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge can be ordered instead. Thread is NPT here, with PT standard and G available as order options, and the bracket is included.
Because AirTAC publishes flow performance as curves rather than a single rated figure, we do not state a flow number for this unit. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet and check the sizing against your required flow before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter regulator flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number, Cv or SCFM value. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the datasheet and check the sizing against your demand on request.
The W code on this model specifies the optional 5 um filtration grade instead of the 40 um standard, which suits air feeding sensitive valves, cylinders or instruments. The K code means a reverse/check valve is fitted, so the regulated downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is interrupted. Both are order-time choices on the GFR family, along with drain type, gauge scale and thread.
