The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8, 5 um, Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is built for 3/8 in NPT ports, carries the finer 5 um filter element, drains accumulated condensate automatically by differential pressure, and includes a round gauge reading in psi plus a fitted reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits the size 400 frame; only size 600 units use an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter regulator range spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, plus choices of drain type, filter grade, gauge style and scale, and check valve. AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm flow and full datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the air feed to pneumatic clamps and fixtures on a machining cell: the 5 um element keeps grit out of precision cylinders, the round psi gauge lets operators set and read clamp pressure directly, and the check valve helps hold the setting if the shop supply dips.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to pushers, diverters and stop cylinders on a packaging conveyor, where the differential-pressure drain clears condensate automatically through each shift and the regulator holds a steady working pressure at the actuators.
Feeding spray guns in an auto body or woodworking finishing booth: the 5 um element and differential drain keep water and particles out of the finish, while the regulator sets gun pressure at the booth wall and the psi gauge makes the setting easy to verify.
Step up through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 against the flow your line needs; size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port sits in the middle of that range. Choose the drain to match the installation: differential-pressure (this unit) drains automatically as it filters, an automatic drain (A) suits unattended duty, and a manual drain (M) suits low-condensate spots. Pick the 5 um element (W) when downstream equipment needs finer particle removal than the 40 um standard. Gauge options cover embedded square or external round bodies with MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit carries the round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard with G and NPT as order options, and a reverse/check valve (K) can be fitted. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your port size, upstream pressure and target downstream pressure, and we will confirm the flow and full datasheet figures for this unit on request.
W selects the 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, for applications that need finer particle removal. C2 specifies the external round gauge with a psi scale. K means a reverse/check valve is fitted, and the blank drain position is the differential-pressure type, which drains condensate automatically as the filter works.
