The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 5um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. It is fitted with 3/8 in NPT ports, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure drop across the element rises, and a round pressure gauge reading in MPa. A built-in check valve (code K) is included, the regulator is the standard type with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G, NPT or PT threads, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a directional-valve manifold on an automated assembly line, with the 5 um element protecting spool clearances and the check valve holding downstream pressure during an upstream dip.
Point-of-use filtration and regulation for carton-sealing and wrapping machinery, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate off the machine without daily manual draining.
Setting consistent actuator speed and force on a press or clamping station, using the MPa gauge and 0.15-0.9 MPa adjustment range to dial in the working pressure at the machine.
Start with the port step: this unit is size 400 with 3/8 in NPT ports; step up to size 600 for larger air demand or down to 200/300 for compact lines, since flow scales with size. The drain here is differential-pressure, which suits steady running; choose automatic (A) for unattended duty or manual (M) where you want controlled draining. This unit carries the 5 um element (code W); the 40 um standard grade is available if your application only needs coarse protection. The round gauge reads in MPa; psi or bar scales and an embedded square gauge are catalogue options. NPT is the thread on this code; PT is the standard and G (BSPP) is also orderable. No mounting bracket is included with this code (J), and a reverse/check valve is fitted (K).
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow figures on request before you order.
The W in the code GFR40010JC1WTK specifies the 5 um filter grade (the 40 um grade is standard) and K specifies a built-in reverse/check valve, which prevents downstream pressure loss if the supply drops. The C1 specifies the round gauge with an MPa scale, and the absence of an A or M gives the differential-pressure drain.
