The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT3/8 Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit is specified with a 3/8 in NPT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, and a fitted reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and an external round gauge on the MPa scale is fitted so the set pressure can be read directly. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR400 series. The GFR line is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options in PT (standard), G and NPT, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), an optional 5 um element (code W), gauge scale options in MPa, psi or bar, and bracket variants. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air for a directional-valve manifold feeding cylinders on an assembly line, with the check valve holding the set pressure if the main supply drops.
Filtered and pressure-regulated supply to the clamping circuit of a pneumatic press, where the manual drain is emptied during scheduled changeover checks.
Point-of-use air preparation for a carton-sealing or wrapping machine, removing condensed water and pipe scale before the machine's air valves and actuators.
Choose the size and port step against the air consumption of the equipment being served: size 400 with a 3/8 in port sits in the middle of the GFR range, and the next step up or down changes both the connection and the flow capacity. This unit has a manual drain, so the bowl must be drained by hand as part of routine maintenance; if unattended draining is needed, the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants are the alternatives. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify the W code for the 5 um grade where finer filtration is required. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), thread (PT standard, G or NPT to order) and bracket inclusion are all decodable options.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not as a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your application's air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request.
The M in the code GFR40010MC1TK specifies a manual drain bowl. Condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl must be drained by hand as part of routine maintenance. If you prefer unattended draining, the same filter regulator is available with an automatic drain (code A) or a differential-pressure drain (blank code) - ask us for those variants.
