The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a PT3/8 port, 5 um filtration (the finer W grade, versus the 40 um standard element), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without operator attention, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve fitted. The polycarbonate bowl is rated for -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, embedded square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and an optional bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds clean, regulated air to the tool-change cylinders and clamping fixtures on a machining centre, with the 5 um element guarding the directional valves and the check valve holding the circuit during supply dips.
Installed at the drop to a spray booth or paint kitchen, where water and fine particulate must be stripped before the air reaches atomising equipment and the pressure must stay fixed at the gun.
Regulates and filters the supply to diverters, stoppers and pusher cylinders on a bottling or carton packaging conveyor, with the automatic drain keeping the bowl clear across multi-shift running.
Size 400 with a PT3/8 port suits lines where 1/2 inch would be oversized and 1/4 inch would choke the flow - step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 range against your demand, and we will confirm the flow curve before you order. Choose the automatic drain (this unit) for unattended duty, manual drain where an operator is on site, or the differential-pressure default where you want draining tied to a pressure drop. Filtration is 5 um here (code W) against the 40 um standard - pick 5 um where downstream valves and instruments need finer protection. The round gauge reads psi; square embedded gauges and MPa or bar scales are alternatives. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and a mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number that is not in the datasheet. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow and the full datasheet for this exact model on request before you order.
The A in this code fits the automatic drain: the bowl ejects condensate on its own, which suits unattended or multi-shift installations. The same GFR400-10 is also available with a manual drain (code M) where an operator drains the bowl, or with the differential-pressure drain (blank) as the default. The drain choice also affects the regulator adjustment range: automatic and differential-pressure drains adjust 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), while the manual-drain version adjusts 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
