The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and sets downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 3/8 in PT thread, a 40 um standard filter element, and an automatic drain that bleeds collected condensate from the polycarbonate bowl without manual attention. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), a round external gauge reading in psi is fitted, and a reverse/check valve is built in to hold the downstream setting if upstream supply is interrupted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Mounting bracket included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um (code W) element option, gauge scale choices and G or NPT thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use water removal and a locked downstream pressure setting for the clamps, chucks and air jets on a machining centre, with the check valve holding the setting through supply dips.
Clean, regulated air for the pick-and-place cylinders and grippers on a carton packaging conveyor, where the automatic drain keeps condensate off the line during continuous shifts.
Particulate and water removal ahead of spray guns in a wood-finishing booth, with the regulator set to the gun supply pressure and the 40 um element protecting the finish from dirt.
Start with the port step: size 400 carries a 3/8 in port, one step up from the size 300 at 1/4 in and one below the size 600 at 1/2 in, so match the size to the air demand of the circuit rather than the pipe alone. Choose the drain to suit access: automatic drain (this unit) suits installations that are not checked daily; manual drain suits attended stations; differential-pressure drain is the catalogue default. The 40 um element is standard; specify the W code for the 5 um grade where finer particulate removal is needed. Gauge scale is selectable (MPa, psi or bar) and the thread can be ordered in PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT. A bracket is included on this configuration.
Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rated figure, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number on the page. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request.
The automatic drain (code A) discharges collected condensate from the bowl on its own, which suits installations that are not checked every day. The alternatives are the differential-pressure drain (catalogue default) and the manual drain (code M) for attended stations; all three share the same 0.15-0.9 MPa regulation range on this filter regulator.
