The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator, PT3/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 configuration has a PT3/8 port, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um standard filter element, and a built-in square gauge reading in psi. The regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of PT, G (BSPP) or NPT thread, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and MPa, psi or bar gauge scales. A mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning air at the drop feeding pneumatic directional valves on a packaging machine: the 40 um element keeps water and pipe scale out of the valve stack while the regulator holds the set pressure the valve circuit was designed around.
A filtered, regulated supply point for hand tools and clamping fixtures at an assembly bench: operators set station pressure locally with the psi gauge, and the manual drain is bled off during shift start-up.
Supplying air cylinders that drive diverters, gates and stoppers on a conveyor line: clean, regulated air keeps actuator cycling consistent, and the 3/8 in port suits branch lines serving several cylinders.
Choose the size and port step (200/300/400/600, 1/8 to 1 inch) against the air demand of your line - we confirm sizing from the published flow curves before you order. Pick the drain type: manual (this unit, which carries the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa adjustment range), automatic, or differential-pressure. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W option, and the gauge is the embedded square type with an MPa, psi or bar scale. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order options; a mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
Flow for this unit is published as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application's air demand and working pressure and we will confirm sizing from the AirTAC datasheet on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl must be bled off by hand at intervals. The benefit is the wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulator adjustment range that applies to manual-drain units. If you prefer automatic condensate removal, order the A (automatic) or the differential-pressure drain version instead.
