The AirTAC GFR400-10 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT3/8 Square Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator in one body: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single size-400 unit. This configuration carries a PT3/8 (3/8 in) PT-threaded port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element rises. A square pressure gauge with a psi scale is fitted so the set pressure is readable at a glance, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this 400 size; only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, an optional 5 um (code W) filter element, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, G or NPT thread options, and a mounting bracket where required. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so contact us and we will confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to a bench or C-frame pneumatic press, where the 40 um element keeps debris out of the cylinder seals and the psi gauge lets the operator set and verify working pressure at the machine.
A point-of-use drop on a cartoning or wrapping line, where one body handles both water removal and pressure setting for the machine's valves and actuators, and the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving without daily manual draining.
Regulating the supply to conveyor stopper cylinders and diverters, where a stable, readable set pressure keeps indexing consistent and the square psi gauge gives maintenance staff a visible reference during changeover.
Size and port: GFR400 is the size-400 step of the GFR series with a 3/8 in port; step up or down (200/300/400/600) to match the pipe size and flow demand of the line, and ask us to check the published flow curves against your application before ordering. Drain: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain (default), which discharges condensate automatically on a pressure-differential signal; automatic (code A) and manual (code M) drains are orderable alternatives. Filter grade: the standard element is 40 um; specify the W option for 5 um where finer particulate removal is needed. Gauge: the embedded square gauge is fitted here with a psi scale; MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge are options. Thread: PT is the standard on this model; G (BSPP) and NPT versions can be ordered. A mounting bracket can be added if the unit will not be carried by its pipework.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet and flow-curve figures for the GFR400-10 on request, so you can size it against your actual demand before ordering.
This model uses the differential-pressure drain (the default for GFR): it discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the 40 um element builds up, so there is no routine manual draining. If you prefer, automatic (code A) or manual (code M) drain versions can be ordered in the same size.
