The AirTAC GFR400-10 NPT AirTAC Filter Regulator, 3/8 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 NPT is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is fitted with a 5 um filter element (code W) for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically when the pressure differential across the element rises, and an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa. It is the low-pressure type (code L) and comes with a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of port sizes, PT, G or NPT threads, drain types, filter grades, gauge styles and scales, and standard or low-pressure regulation. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds filtered, regulated air at reduced pressure to bagging and carton-sealing actuators that run below standard line pressure, with the 5 um element protecting the directional valves.
Provides finely filtered, low-pressure regulated air to bench-mounted test rigs and pneumatic fixtures where the round MPa gauge gives a clear pressure readout at the point of use.
Conditions the air feeding loom and spinning-machine jets and cylinders, where fine 5 um filtration and low-pressure regulation keep sensitive components clean and correctly set.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in NPT port suits lines that need more flow capacity than the 200 or 300 sizes; step up to size 600 if your demand grows further. Choose the 5 um element (this model, code W) where downstream valves and actuators need finer filtration, or the standard 40 um grade for general supply. Drain options are differential-pressure (this model), automatic (code A) or manual (code M). Gauges come as an embedded square gauge by default, with an external round gauge optional, scaled in MPa, psi or bar; this unit carries the round MPa gauge. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT as order options - this model is ordered in NPT. This is the low-pressure type, so its regulation range differs from the standard version; ask us to confirm the exact range from the datasheet before ordering. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures so you can size the unit correctly before ordering.
This unit is the low-pressure type (code L), so its regulation range differs from the standard version; the exact range is not published in our sheet, so ask us to confirm it from the datasheet. The differential-pressure drain bleeds collected condensate automatically as the pressure drop across the 5 um element rises, with no manual draining needed.
